The night is wide on the river, and the town has set its lamps against it. Gold leans across the water in long, unhurried lines — light that has somewhere to be. On the bank, two figures walk toward the same small hour, the way certain evenings seem arranged in advance. The air smells of cut apple and cold stone, then of suede and warm vanilla, the way a lit window smells like home before you reach the door. Nothing hurries. Nothing hesitates. What is coming has always been coming — a rendezvous kept beneath the stars, warmth answering the dark. Light the candle: the river is yours to cross.
The scent is the experience. The card is the artifact.
Every fragrance The Grand Collection releases is accompanied by a collectible art card — the artwork through which its story is told, printed as an object worth keeping.

A fragrance house

The Grand Collection is a collectible fragrance house made in Philadelphia, where scent, artwork, and story are conceived together. A fragrance is developed for the way it lives in a room, and each expression is released only when the composition feels complete in that form — Collection 001 opens the house with Rendezvous with Destiny: the candle and the room & linen spray.
Every batch is weighed to the hundredth of a gram, batch-logged, and rested before it ships. Collections open as Founder’s Releases — produced to reservation, closed on a stated date, then poured, rested, and shipped.
Presence. Memory. Ambiance.
The Collection is built on three ideas. Presence — a fragrance should announce you quietly, and hold the room after you’ve entered it. Memory — the scents that matter are the ones that return you somewhere; we compose for the moment you’ll want back. Ambiance — every fragrance has a setting it was made for, which is why each collection is tuned for wax, for air, for the room — expression by expression.
Each collection carries an original dotwork system, developed point by point alongside the fragrance — the visual signature you’ll find on every label and carton.
The Founder
The Grand Collection began at Dominic Walton II’s kitchen scale in Philadelphia — one jar, one blend, one evening at a time. What started as a search for a scent that couldn’t be bought became a practice: build slowly, weigh everything, release nothing before it’s rested. Collection 001 is the first of those evenings made public.
Small batches
Formulated in-house, produced in small batches, and recorded by lot — weighed to the hundredth of a gram, every run.
Founder’s Releases
Each collection opens as a reservation window with a stated close. When a release closes, it closes — production is poured for the people who reserved it.
Scent, translated
Every composition is considered for the form in which it lives — for wax, for air, for the room. The fragrance remains the story; each expression offers another way into it.

Each Grand Collection release has a moment. The Founder’s Release is Collection 001’s — reserved during a defined window that closes September 15, 2026, or earlier if the inaugural allotment is reached. When the window closes, the release moves into production: every order is poured, rested, and shipped as one edition.

Candle or room spray — where do I start?
Both carry the identical composition. The candle is the fragrance through warmth and flame, held through an evening; the room & linen spray introduces it into the atmosphere immediately, and is the simplest first meeting with the house. Neither is lesser — they are two expressions of the same fragrance.
What is the Pair?
Two expressions of Collection 001, presented together — the full-size candle and the full-size room & linen spray in one reservation.
Can I buy expressions individually?
Yes. The candle and room & linen spray are each available on their own during the Founder’s Release; the Pair simply presents both together.
Is it safely formulated?
Each product is formulated within the applicable IFRA usage limits for its product category. Full ingredient declarations are published on each product page before purchase and printed on every label.
What if it’s not for me?
Unopened pieces may be returned within 30 days of delivery; the Pair returns as a complete, unopened set. Cancellation details live in our Return policy. Write to us and we’ll make it right.
How many can I order?
Collection 001 pieces — including the Pair — are limited to five per order.
How do I care for the candle?
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn, let the first burn develop an even melt pool across the vessel, and never burn longer than four hours at a time. Full care and safety guidance lives on the product page and ships with every candle.
What size is the candle?
12 oz, hand-poured into translucent wine-toned glass.
What is the Collection Card?
Every Rendezvous with Destiny candle and room & linen spray arrives with its collection card — Starry Night Over the Rhône printed on heavyweight cream stock, made to be kept and displayed: on a mantel, a bookshelf, a desk, or in a frame. The fragrance fades. The card remains.
Can I buy the Collection Card separately?
No. The card accompanies the fragrance and is not currently sold on its own.
Why Starry Night Over the Rhône?
Because the painting holds the same evening the fragrance does — lamplight against dark water, and two figures moving toward a meeting that was always going to happen. We chose it the way a composer chooses a key: not to explain the fragrance, but to continue it.

You’ll receive tracking by email when your order is on its way. Original shipping charges are non-refundable except when an order arrives damaged or in error.
Returns — individual pieces
Unopened individual pieces may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Write to info@thegrandcollection.shop for a return authorization before sending anything back. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

The Pair may be returned as a complete set, unopened, within 30 days of delivery. Write to info@thegrandcollection.shop for a return authorization before sending anything back; return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
Cancellations
Reservations may be cancelled for a full refund until the reservation window closes — September 15, 2026, or earlier if the inaugural production allotment is reached. After production begins, cancellations are accepted only before fulfillment of your order has started; once your order has shipped, the returns policy above applies instead.
Damaged or incorrect orders
If anything arrives broken or wrong, email a photo within 7 days of delivery and we’ll replace it or refund it — your choice. No need to ship damaged glass back.
Privacy
We collect your email and shipping details only to fulfill orders and, if you opt in, to send collection announcements. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details are entered on Stripe’s systems, not ours. We never sell your information. To unsubscribe or request deletion of your data, use the links in the footer or write to info@thegrandcollection.shop.
